Prime Burger Restaurant in Manhattan NYC [Video]

Prime Burger Restaurant, in Midtown Manhattan:
For many of the guys that work here, the restaurant is like a second home – some of them have been slinging burgers, making shakes, and waiting on customers at this location for decades. Opened in 1938, the place hasn’t been altered since the early ’60s, and it looks all the better for it.

Here the waiters and workers of Prime Burger discuss their views on their chosen profession, and the unique nature of the place itself. There’s no place like home. It’s where we live, work and dream. It’s our sanctuary and our refuge. We can love them or hate them. It can be just for the night or for the rest of our lives. But whoever we may be, we all have a place we call home.

THIS MUST BE THE PLACE is a series of short films that explore the idea of home, or places that function as home – workplaces, hang out spots, etc. We want to figure out what makes them, how they represent us, why we need them. We’re always on the lookout for dwellings of all sorts. If you’ve come across any curious or eccentric homes or other curious places, feel free to send them along.

The Street Aesthetic of Berlin [Video]

New York war schön, aber Berlin hat auch ein paar unzählige ansehnliche Ecken:

“After the huge attention and feedback I received for the video ‘The Street Aesthetic of New York’, I decided to continue the series and create a new video based on the very cultural and urban city Berlin. The Street Aesthetic of Berlin is the second video in the series, capturing the culture and everyday life of native Berliners. In this short-film I also tried to capture the special urban vibe Berlin have and visualize the aesthetic of Berlin’s street corners, parks, buildings and structure.”

Nyemiah Supreme – Real Talk 101 [Video & Mixtape]

Meine hochgeschätzte Kollegin Nyemiah Surpreme hat mit ihrer Klasse ein Projekt zum Thema Real Talk durchgeführt. Schaut euch das mal an und ladet auf jeden Fall das Mixtape:

The 22-year-old Southside Jamaica, Queens rapper Nyemiah Supreme got her start as a backup dancer for Lil Mama and Chris Brown, randomly meeting Jim Jones while working as Juelz Santana’s assistant. Shortly after her introduction to the Dipset Capo, Nyemiah made her rap debut on his track ‘Everybody Jones,’ and continued to build a buzz with her first mixtape, ‘Limited Edition,’ which she dropped back in February.
The former model/dancer has now returned with her 14 track ‘Bad’ mixtape, featuring a combination of original production and classic instrumentals, and a visual for her song ‘Real Talk 101.’

New York State of Mind [Video]

James Bernal hat ein paar Wochen in der beeindruckensten Stadt der Welt verbracht:

I’ve been living in New York for almost three months. Since I spend much of my time riding the subway or in the backseat of cabs, I try to practice my visual literacy whenever I can. This video is the result of having plenty of random clips, but not enough. Maybe I’ll remix this a bit or use some of the clips I really like towards something more comprehensive – for now, I’ll enjoy the reminder of my first three months in a new city.

Here’s hoping that if winter was this fun, then spring is going to be the bomb dot com.
